A get-together with school-friends at Ranchi on 23 Oct 2001friends.gif (34027 bytes)

Ranchi is the place where I spent most of my childhood. During the Durga Pujas in 2001, when I was visiting Jamshedpur (where my parents had eventually settled), I decided to pay my school-mate Major Amitav Ghosh a short visit at Ranchi. This one-day visit turned out to be quite remarkable because Amitav facilitated my meeting with two more school-mates, namely Prof. Arun Thakur and Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, after more than 30 years!! Amitav and his wife Kajol arranged a nice get-together at their place and four school-mates had a lovely time reminiscing about the good old days.

Here are some pictures I took at Ranchi.
